Tasting Notes
I have lost count of the numerous times I have been lucky enough to create unforgettable memories with many individuals. The initial encounter with Andrew Riechers(@andrewriechers) in January of 2020 remains etched in my mind. Tasting the wines produced by Andrew at Audeant (@audeantwines) for the first time was a special moment that I cherish deeply.
Recently, during a visit to the okta bar, I had another stroke of luck. Ron (@pinoynoirpdx), without uttering a word, poured a glass of Blanc de Blanc for myself and @amymurrylmt. The bottle, from The Missoula Flood's Sparkling program where Andrew is involved, was truly exceptional. I cannot wait for to get my hands on these wines!
Following that delightful wine, I couldn't resist revisiting one of my beloved Audeant wines, the 2017 Luminous Hills Pinot Noir. This wine never fails to impress with its smooth initial taste leading to a delightful mid-palate experience that might even elicit a surprised grunt. The first encounter with the lingering finish of this wine remains vivid in my memory on a Saturday afternoon in a McMinnville art gallery. My senses were engulfed in a burst of spice that has kept me captivated ever since. Although still considered young, this wine is currently providing a fabulous drinking experience.
I am also eagerly looking forward to trying the new 2021 Foothills from Audeant, which I've heard is exceptional and cannot wait to experience it firsthand.
