Tasting Notes
Tonight’s post is all about the 2023 Cymbal Sauvignon Blanc from Long Shadows in Washington
If you know me, you know I pay attention. I listen first, then take action. That was exactly what happened with Long Shadows. It started with a few quiet mentions. Little birdies saying I needed to try their wines. The more I heard, the more curious I became. And once I did, I was far from disappointed
Tonight’s bottle is the Cymbal Sauvignon Blanc. I will admit, I am always a little cautious with this varietal. I never know how much green grass is going to show up. Some people love that flavor. I am not one of them. But this wine was different. Refined. Crisp. Bright without being sharp. Balanced in the best way
This is night two with the bottle and it is showing even better than last night. It has opened up beautifully. The texture is smooth, the acidity is just right, and the finish lingers with elegance. This is the kind of wine that invites you to pay attention
At this point, I can honestly say I would recommend any wine from Long Shadows. If they are not on your list yet, it is time to make room to visit!
