My days of sitting on the back porch all day working are getting numbered. I spent most of the day in a hoodie and what I call cozy pants. I also almost didn’t get this picture in before it got dark. I have been preparing the podcast with Aaron Lieberman of Iris Vineyards for Thursday.
When I talked with Aaron, I was shocked to hear he made a Sparkling that is at least 1/3 Pinot Gris, along with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. This is the first time I have heard of this blend for an Oregon Sparkling, and I must tell you I enjoy every decadent sip. The brightness of the Pinot Gris shows up along with the weight of Pinot Noir, and of course, the Chardonnay helps balance it all out. The Iris non-vintage Brut is a great wine, and be sure to subscribe to the Podcast via YouTube, Apple Podcasts, or Spotify to catch the interview!
