Tasting Notes
It's been more than a New York minute since my last visit to Ridgecrest / RR Wines. The last trip to catch up with Jon was in the yurt back in 2020. The tasting was excellent, with some lasting memories! Since then, I have followed the journey of Wynn Peterson-Nedry, interviewed her for the podcast, and eagerly awaiting her wines from Arlyn!
Recently, the tasting experience at Ridgecrest upgraded to the Ridgecrest Cottage. Do you know what I had to do? Yup, I had to visit, and all of the details will be in the newsletter on Saturday morning. If you still need to be signed up, there is a link in the Bio to take advantage of it!
One of the wines I had during the visit was the 2022 Ridgecrest Estate Dry Riesling. Here are my thoughts.
Looking in the glass, a lovely pale yellow wine is waiting for further exploration. Young, vibrant stone fruits on the nose remind me of Georgia summers with endless rows of peach trees. Those stone fruits continue to shine on the mid-palate with lively acidity and a never-ending finish. I have another bottle I will hold on to for years to come!
