Tasting Notes

Father’s Day is coming to a close, and even though there was rain and hail, I couldn’t ask for a better day. It doesn't get much better when you are with family exploring different foods and cooking together. Well, maybe add that it was relaxing and next to no stress never hurts! I decided to open Arlyn’s 2019 State of Grace Pinot Noir today. I imagined sitting in the vineyard today, listening to silence while tasting incredible wine. Janis has done some fantastic work and will always raise a glass in her honor for her hard work and dedication to the farm and wine. There is a perfect balance of dark and bright red in the glass, waiting for that first sip. One would think the sniffy sniff would lead to one direction of dark or bright, but all of the dark sensations on the nose intertwine in harmony with bright red fruits. The first sip continues this epic journey of bright and dark comingling together. On the back of the palate, a delightful spice element catches you off guard a little. There is the slightest bit of tannins on the finish, but more of your attention is directed towards the long, ever-presence of dark and bright red fruits working together to blow your socks off! 👇 👇 👇 👇 🍷 🗓 🍷 🗓 🍷 🗓 🍷 🗓 🍷 🗓 Trying to keep up with the events happening in Wine Country can be a full-time job.
