Tasting Notes
I previously mentioned the blind wine I brought to Guerrila Wine Company’s podcast interview, but I haven’t discussed their wine yet. The 2022 Guerrilla Wine Co. “ennui” Chardonnay from the Zenith Vineyard is anything but tired and boring. When you look at it in the glass, it may appear like a typical Chardonnay, but when you have it at cellar temperature or even room temperature, this wine eliminates any boredom you might experience on a rainy Monday evening.
Get ready to be captivated by the aroma, as this wine immediately captures your attention with all the pleasurable qualities you desire in a Chardonnay. The first sip prepares you for a burst of flavor on the mid-palate, where you encounter a hint of liveliness that is not overpowering, yet still noticeable. The pleasant, long-lasting acidity in the finish brings a sense of sunshine to my evening. It’s also worth noting that the wine has a refreshing 12% ABV.
If you haven’t already, I highly recommend checking out this episode of the podcast. You can find all the links in the Bio. Take a listen and be sure to share your thoughts with me!
