Tasting Notes

Last night’s wine was the 2022 Approachment Wine Company (@approachmentwines) Point of Contact Pinot Gris. You must get them on your radar if you have not heard of Approachment. The name Approachment is all about wine being approachable, aka affordable. I am looking forward to their Gamay coming soon! Also, Jess and Paden are the husband and wife team making this label fun and exciting! Also, they are exceptional humans! You might think you are looking at a Rose in the glass, but that first sniffy sniff gives way to a Pinot Gris with extended skin contact. Upon entry, it is nothing but smooth, soft silkiness flanking your mid-palate surprise and delight. Taking another sip, you realize the 42-hour skin contact brings a delightfully balanced punch of tannin, acidity, and fruit. The finish is beyond extended, causing your mid-palate water for another sip and summer to hurry up and get here! For $24/bottle, this is an extraordinary bottle! 👇 👇 👇 👇 🍷 🗓 🍷 🗓 🍷 🗓 🍷 🗓 🍷 🗓 Trying to keep up with the events happening in Wine Country can be a full-time job.
