Tonight is about prepping for this week’s podcast episode with Vincent Fritzsche with Vincent Wine Company. I will never forget the first time I met Vincent in the parking lot of New Seasons, getting wine for the upcoming A.J.’s Happy Hour Zoom Call in 2020. He is an incredibly lovely human, and if you’re not on his mailing list, visit his website (https://vincentwinecompany.com) and sign up now!
Speaking of emails, you need to sign up for my newsletter that comes out Saturday morning. This week you get some excellent behind-the-scenes stories surrounding Vincent.
Getting to the wine, it is the 2019 Silver Shot Pinot Noir from the fantastic Eola-Amity Hills. The color in the glass screams deep dark lusciousness transferring to a nose filled with medium dark red fruit. On entry, there is nothing but smooth sailing to the mid-palate, where your journey takes a short escapade of dark red fruits with silky integrated tannins. The finish encapsulates your voyage with the slightest kiss of those dark fruits slowly fading away. It’s good that I have another glass waiting for me because I do not want this mid-week vacation to end!
