It’s the first Friday of June. Summer should be in full swing, but waking up to rain this morning was actually lovely. End-of-the-year school and other extracurricular activities are also wrapping up, which means crammed-packed schedules. Summer break can’t get here soon enough. All of this means the desire to open something special is needed!
The 2017 Elton from Lavinea is a hands-down winner for a delicate yet powerful Pinot greeting you upon entry with a smile and grace like none other with a silky smooth trance to the mid-palate. Here, you experience a complex daintiness leaving you a little perplexed. A dainty Pinot most of the time means there isn’t much to experience. The Lavinea Elton has layers of medium red fruit encrusted with subtle spice. The finish continues its elegance, allowing the past week's stress to be released from your shoulders.
