Tasting Notes

When I decided almost three years ago to start venturing out more into Oregon Wine Country, there was one winery people brought up over and over. I would hear the winery's name and wonder how to spell it. I wasn’t deterred and kept pursuing more tidbits here and there. Finally, one day I sat down at a tasting at Alexana with @jazmina.pumputis and asked if she had ever heard of a winery called Ayoub. Not only did she know of the winery, but she also helped Mo make the wine. Jaz helped coordinate an A.J.’s Happy Hour via Zoom with Mo in 2020. I purchased wine for the group and me at the time, and I’ve done a great job not touching Ayoub’s wine for the past two years. So tonight, I felt like it was a great time to pop a cork on the 2017 Anonimo Pinot. I’ve yet to have Mo’s Sparkling and come July, I will have to visit to get my hands on some Bubbles! Ayoub is one of those little gems in Oregon Wine Country that is definitely worth pursuing. . . 📰 Want to know more about Oregon Wine and Wineries sign up for my weekly newsletter.
