Tasting Notes
I just completed yet another book by Cormac McCarthy, which means it's time for me to savor another bottle of wine from Richochet (@ricochetwine). Why do I open a bottle of Ricochet wine whenever I finish a Cormac McCarthy book? Well, Erich used to be an English teacher and he introduced The Road to his class. It has now become a tradition for me!
The book I just finished is The Crossing, the second book in The Border trilogy. Personally, I preferred the first book over this one. I was hoping for a different outcome, but there's a certain scene where one character goes blind that I will never forget. Ouch!
Erich's 2021 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is perfect for today and I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to interview him for the podcast over the summer. All of his wines are exceptional! If you haven't had a tasting with Erich yet, there's no better time than now.
