Tasting Notes
This morning my newsletter went out and I have to tell you, the response I got was amazing. Thank you to everyone who sent emails and messages. I enjoy diving deep into backstories to surface them for you!
When I interviewed Dave Jachter from Jachter Family Wines (@jachterwines), there were so many backstories I was able to uncover. I adored the heck out of Dave telling me he originally wanted to call the J Reserve Chardonnay, Dave’s Fave. He got outvoted, even though this is Dave’s favorite wine. Dave has quite the history with wine and has had some pretty spectacular serendipity moments in making his dream come true!
The 2021 J Reserve Chardonnay is pretty darn special, and thinking about the question I posed the other night, “Does this Chardonnay fit what an Oregon Chardonnay is supposed to be?” I think Oregon has many aspects of Chardonnay. Trying to fit into “one shoe” I feel is difficult to accomplish.
Have you visited Jachter Family Wines? If not, you should check out the view the tasting room offers, and the wines are oh so good!
