I have been waiting a long time to publish the newsletter for Lonesome Rock, and on Saturday morning, you get to read all about this special place! If you are not subscribed to the newsletter, sign up now because I am telling you this is a good one!!
Let's chat about this 2021 Lonesome Rock Pinot Noir. I know I am in for a treat when I can watch the velvety yumminess pour from this bottle on repeat all day. On the nose, there are those decadent dark red fruits I crave. With the very first sip, the wine secretly transgresses to the mid-palate, where all of that silkiness slowly opens up, and if you aren't paying attention, all of the details fade into the background. Still, you are also bewildered as to why groans of pleasure escape your mouth. It is those dark red velvety fruits slowly waking up every sense. Ignoring every pleasurable reaction in your body, you can focus on that luscious long finish with the slightest twinge of spice and clove, leaving you to do only thing: have another sip!
