Tasting Notes
There are moments in a journey that cannot be ignored.
Over the years, Et Fille has popped up time and time again. Conversations have come saying Jessica is the nicest person in the Valley. Et Fille’s wines have consistently made appearances at events I attend. The Pere Honneur Sparkling was in my Sparkling Report over the summer, which was fabulous! The story of Jessica co-founding the winery with her Dad. Jessica doing special bottles for S.T.E.M. The list is endless, and yet I haven’t been out to visit. I have a ton of excuses, and none of them are valid.
When I was at New Seasons last week, another signal in my wine journey told me to pay attention. There was a bottle of Et Fille on the shelf saying, “Seriously, I am a 2017 Pinot, and if you ignore me. I give up!” Needless to say, I picked up the bottle and had a wonderful evening.
New Seasons was running a sale on Oregon Wines. I paid less than $25 for the bottle, and it was a 2017. You don’t see older vintages at the store often, and for the price point, wowsers! Like I mentioned earlier, it was a great evening with a delicious bottle of wine. Thank you, Jessica, for everything you do!
