Tasting Notes

Trying to get used to the cold this week after a long weekend of sun in Palm Springs hurts. It’s hard to believe tomorrow is already February, but also looking forward to Spring getting all that much closer! Tonight’s wine is a 2020 Kings North Estate Pinot Noir The thought of a 2020 Pinot there are thoughts of fires, and many producers didn't have a 2020 Pinot. King's North was super lucky by picking before the fires, and this is a glimpse of what the 2020 vintage would be if it weren't for the devastation throughout the West Coast. There is a deep dark plum color in the glass. Subtle under the radar entry with a full-bodied mid-palate of intentional fruit showing off Sid and Mac's land and farm-to-glass mentality. For the finish, there is the slightest twinge of tannin telling a couple of things. First, pair this with a red sauce pasta or a fatty protein source. Secondly, the potential of aging for this wine is quite spectacular. The farm-to-bottle practice also shows up on the finish with a silky presence of the dark fruit, making you wish to be at the coast right watching a storm blow through. 👇 👇 👇 👇 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 Would you like to get a Saturday morning email to read with your coffee giving you insider tips on events, news, and an in-depth perspective on a winery?
