Tasting Notes
When I was at New Seasons the other day, I was reminded of this time last year with I interviewed Jessica Mozeico for the podcast. I had to pick up a bottle to reminisce about the interview and what I had learned over the past year. The interview was excellent on so many levels, diving into topics like "The three simple steps of wine-making written on the back of an envelope" and "Bubbles Monday," to name just a few great discussions.
I had yet to try the 2019 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, and I was pleasantly surprised. The 2019 vintage weakens my knees with it being a cooler vintage, even though the rain came in close to Harvest. However, Jessica's magic for this wine is spectacular, with decadent dark red fruit on entry transcending to the mid-palate, where you are greeted with a barely noticeable tanning structure and a finish reminding you of a PNW siren whispering in your ear, "One more sip."
