Tasting Notes

What makes for a solid Tuesday night wine? What is the difference between a Tuesday night wine and a Friday night wine? Why does it matter? As with everything in the Wine World, it is all subjective. Personally, it doesn’t make a hill of beans difference, but the whole point of calling out a difference is Friday is typically an end-of-the-week type celebration. Tuesday is well, Tuesday. It is better than Monday, but it’s simply Tuesday. Some Tuesdays, like today, might need a little something special. I hold Vincent’s wine in those regards. It is remarkable and incredibly comforting to know it will be gorgeous in crazy uncertain times. The 2019 Vincent Bjornson Pinot immediately grabs me on the nose with subtle dark fruit, slipping quietly through on entry to an opening on the mid-palate, expressing a finessed confidence of those dark fruits all over transforming into a long silky finish whispering sweet nothings to tell me everything will be ok on this uncertain Tuesday night. (How is that for an incredibly long run-on sentence?) . . 📰 Want to know more about Oregon Wine and Wineries sign up for my weekly newsletter. Link in the Bio! 🍷
