Tasting Notes
What a week it has been! Summer is in full gear, the Tour de France ends today, and to spend time inside feels like a crying shame. Last night, I wanted nothing more than a big ole greasy ribeye and a stellar Pinot. The summer breeze was decadent as I devoured my steak and sipped on some wine. How did you spend Saturday night?
The 2019 Temperance Hill from Bergstrom got a fantastic score from James Suckling, and a couple of weeks ago, inventories for this particular bottle were very low. I have to admit this is a unique wine. I enjoyed everything it brought to the table. The finish is what stands out for me. Of course, it goes on for quite some time, but usually, a finish slowly tapers off. Not this bad boy! It comes in waves, and finally, it tapers off. I really enjoyed it!
