Tasting Notes
Have you heard of Championship Bottle? Earlier this year, a little birdie told me about them, and I had to get some of their Chardonnay! At $30/bottle, it is perfect on so many levels. Add on top of it all. This Chardonnay came from the 30-year-old vines at @dionvineyards aged in older oak barrels with the last six months of aging in stainless.
I repeatedly hear one comment: “I don’t like Chardonnay because it’s too buttery.” My first reaction is that there hasn’t been enough exploration of Oregon Chardonnay. My second reaction is, you have to try this Chardonnay! Well, not the 2019 Gravity Pulls because it sold out, but you should visit Championship’s website to sign up for their newsletter. The Fall release is just around the corner!
