Tasting Notes

I am doing my level best to say, not to mention the heat. I will not complain the sun is out in full force. Although, I will note it is a little warm for me to enjoy a Pinot tonight. Earlier today, I remembered grabbing a few bottles of the 2019 Bunker Hill Chardonnay from Lingua Franca not too long ago. I tried to tell myself I wasn’t going to open them, but it’s Wednesday, it’s hot, and I can find a million other excuses why I should open a bottle. For most of the 2019 Chardonnays I’ve had, there is an immediate reaction of, “Yes, this is what I needed!” My first sip found me a little bewildered. Don’t get me wrong, it’s excellent! There is an elegance to it, though, where you need to stop and pay attention to what is occurring. After a couple of hours, it is opening up more, but I don’t know if I fully appreciate what is here. My other bottles are getting stashed. There is excellent acidity on this wine for aging. The color is nice and light in color, indicating its youth. I can’t wait to try other bottles in a few years. . . . . . . 📰 Want to know more about Oregon Wine and Wineries sign up for my weekly newsletter. Link in the Bio! 🍷 #
