Tasting Notes
The second wine from Friday night’s dinner was the 2019 Aubaine Chardonnay from the Anahata vineyard. I poured this bottle along with the salad, and there were about two splashes left afterward. Two of us ordered the seafood Shephards Pie, and the Pinot paired decently, but the acidity from Aubaine’s Chard paired perfectly, or so I was told.
One of the reasons I thoroughly enjoyed pouring Aubaine's wine was sharing the stories from Andy Lytle, the Windfall vineyard, At the Joy, Sparklers, the tie-in with Andrew Davis, Lytle Barnett, and Isabelle Meunier. When you have a killer wine coupled with a killer story over dinner, it makes for an unforgettable night!
Do you want to know more details about the dinner last Friday? I am writing all about this for the newsletter coming out Saturday morning. The link is in the Bio to sign up!
