Tasting Notes
It is the Eve of New Years Eve
I have been singing the praises of Arlyn for almost a year and a half now. I have mentioned countless times how incredible Janis is. Every morning, she takes care of the animals, the vines, and pours wine for tastings in the afternoon. I am sure every evening there is a massive list of items to be done as well. The story and people behind Arlyn grabbed my heart immediately. The wine grabbed my palate immediately. Thomas, @tomsavre, the winemaker, knocks it out of the ballpark, and on top of it all, he is one of the kindest people I know.
🍷 Wine :
2019 Arlyn All the Darlings Chardonnay
Over the summer, I tasted the 2019 All the Darlings Chardonnay and fell head over heels. Other people at the tasting also agreed. Recently, this wine was described as “This is a really pretty chard. It's lovely. And it has some nice minerality to it. The oak gives it structure, but not too much. Doesn't overpower it. Really pretty.”
A big shoutout to @westcoastwineguy for finding Arlyn first and bringing Janis to my attention!
