Tasting Notes

I refuse to say today was hot, but I will say I was thankful for shade sitting on the back deck all day. I can’t remember, but it’s been at least three years since I planted this wisteria. This is the first year it has bloomed, and I might be the teeniest bit giddy. There is something to be said about insta-f’ing-gratification, but it is way more rewarding to stick with a project, a plant, a bottle of wine, etc, to see where it goes. Tonight’s wine is the 2018 Ridgecrest Riesling from Elevee. Tom’s precision on all of his wines shows off big time for this Riesling. His winemaking prowess is all about elegance and subtlety. The Ridgecrest Riesling is all about grace. Yes, there are hints of stone fruit along with floral scents! I enjoy Riesling over Rose any day, and on this hot day, the Ridgecrest hit the spot! . . . . . . 📰 Want to know more about Oregon Wine and Wineries sign up for my weekly newsletter.
