Tasting Notes
Days like today are like finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Spring has taken its time to get here, and when we have days where the sun is fully out after so many cold rainy days, there is nothing left to do but celebrate!
How does one celebrate such a day? Unfortunately, it is not a workday, which means I don’t get to play hooky. However, getting in a bike ride is a MUST! Playing around in the backyard is also a requirement. Cooking on the grill, yup! I think the only thing left is to open a stellar bottle of wine.
I decided to open a 2018 Richard Herman Cuvee Chardonnay from 00 Wines, and I am not complaining one bit! When you think of Chardonnay, most people like then chilled and almost cold. However, I found keeping once I poured the wine into the glass and let it get to room temperature, it was so much better! I am making sure there is some leftover to taste on day two and three just to see where this high acidic wine takes me. It is gorgeous today, and I can’t wait to see what journeys it takes me tomorrow and Monday!
