Tasting Notes
It's hard to believe today is May 1st, but it is also pretty spectacular to kick off Oregon Wine Month already! There are so many exceptional producers, and I am fortunate enough to sit down with some of these people to share their stories on the first Saturday of the month in my newsletter. This month, I am focusing on Red Electric Wines (@red_electric_wines) located in Ribbon Ridge. If you are not already subscribed, visit the Link in the Bio and Subscribe before 6:10 a.m. on Saturday to get all the details.
When I was sitting with John and Doug at the GC Wines tasting room downtown and when I took my first sniffy sniff of this wine, I knew it was unique from the get-go! The 2018 Red Electric Alpine Lily Chardonnay gives off fantastic fruit on the nose that continues to show off on the mid-palate. The acidity is perfectly balanced and does not overwhelm your mid-palate, allowing the fruit to continue to shine through and through! On the finish, this is scrumptious! All the fruit translates into a singular razor focus of spice lingering for an eternity.
