Tasting Notes
It has been forever and three extra days since I opened a Chard from Hazelfern. I forgot how approachable and delicious the Little Hells Chard is. There are times when I get caught up in overthinking wine. Tonight, it’s not going to happen. The 2018 Little Hells Chard is freakin fabulous on many levels. First, it is the foundation of what a Chard should be. It is not over-oaked. It has a melodic mouthfeel and tones of wildness I enjoy in a Chard. The finish keeps on going and going, but you will miss it if you don’t pay attention. Having this wine at a Chardy Party is the best. I am so glad I opened this tonight!
