Tasting Notes
I spent a crazy amount of time organizing my wine the last few days, and there was a pattern I kept seeing over and over. The wineries I enjoy the most are the ones where I connect with people. It could be hospitality staff, the owner(s), the winemaker(s), the vineyard staff, or anyone else. Wine is all about connection and people. I have some bottles where I know not a single soul at the winery, and I will not buy any more. Give me a connection!
Opening the 2018 King’s North Luminous Hills Pinot is a perfect example of connection. When I walked into King’s North, Mac took extraordinary care of me. I adore their wines, their story, how their whole family is hustling, and I proudly wear their t-shirt constantly. I need more winery t-shirts! My tech t-shirts are showing wear and tear. What is your favorite winery personal connection? I need more stories!
