Tasting Notes
Yesterday afternoon was absolutely gorgeous out before the clouds moved in. Today while grocery shopping, the rain was miserably blowing sideways. I know it’s worth putting up with the rain for spectacular summers, but sometimes my patience wears thin. So I pulled a bottle today I hold near and dear to my heart. I needed the 2018 Elevee Madrona Hill Pinot.
There are some wines where you are hit with different flavors, but this wine has a solid backbone presenting itself throughout the whole experience. On the nose, there are slight hints of dark red fruit traveling to entry and mid-palate. Everything about this wine encompasses a subtlety of elegance where the enjoyment comes from recognizing you don’t need a bunch of pizzazz for enjoyment. Solid winemaking with amazing fruit exemplifies a wine you want to hold onto for years to come!
