Tasting Notes
I think my taste buds were completely off the other night when I opened this 2017 Eola Amity Cuvée from Dobbes. I took a sip and was shocked by how much I was not too fond of it. I put a cork in it to revisit the following night.
Opening the bottle on the second night, I was in bliss. I think it was the frame of my mind the previous night. School, ballet practice for my daughter, and not to mention work got to me a wee little bit. The fruit forwardness of dark cherry was just what I needed. Mid-palate was calming to go along with my nerves with a nice long soothing finish to help me sleep all the night through.
The price point for the bottle is under $40 and is well worth it. Maybe decant before drinking or do what I did and open it the night before.
