Tasting Notes
I am devouring all of the Harvest photos from the Gram this week! I have seen a couple from Elevee that have caught my attention, and of course, there were others, but tonight it is all about Elevee.
It has been forever and three days since I tasted a Riesling from Elevee. Tonight’s bottle was all food-driven. My daughter wanted sushi, so I called in an order, and the first bite of my roll screamed I needed a Riesling!
The 2017 Corral Creek Vineyard Riesling was one of the 375 ml bottles, and Holy Toledo Batman, the bottle is going way too quickly! I can’t believe this is a six-year-old wine already. I feel like I got it not that long ago. It is riding the perfect balance of what I want in a Riesling. It isn’t all that sweet but has excellent acidity, pairing exceptionally well with sushi. Seeing the pale yellow color in the glass and its acidity level, I am holding onto my other bottles for quite some time! 👇
