Tasting Notes
What a weird sensation it was sitting at a bar with other people sitting next to me. I missed working at the bar while having a beverage and food. Overhearing conversations are the best! The sound of the bar and kitchen bustling in the background is bliss!
While sitting at the bar, I was working on the newsletter for this week. It is a little tale about Tendril Wines. One of my favorite pours during the tasting was the 2017 Carter Vineyard Pinot. I am starting to pay attention to how many wines I enjoy from the Eola-Amity Hills. There is something about the Van Duzer winds coming in during the afternoon, and it night it cools down. Is anyone aware of such a phenomenon in Burgundy?
What stands out to me about this bottle are the dark red fruits you get on the nose and palate. On the finish, there is a hint of tannins, but they are so elegantly integrated. I must get back to the newsletter now. If you haven’t already signed up, now is the time, link in bio. I send out one email every week, bright and early on Saturday at 6:10 am Pacific. I like pairing stories with weekend morning coffee!
