Tasting Notes
Sunday night, before the rain started to set in, I noticed a 2016 Le Chenaie Vineyard from Holloran just waiting to be opened. I mean, how could I pass up the chance to compare different a Le Chenaie from Holloran and the Le Chenaie I had from Hazelfern the other night? My thoughts exactly!
The results were two totally different wines, and of course, they were. 2016 was a warm vintage compared to 2019, which was cooler. Also, the wine-making style of Hazelfern is different compared to Holloran. I don’t think I would have been able to tell these two wines came from the same vineyard at all, but it was darn tootin’ fun trying to see if I could!
