Tasting Notes
Yes, I realize there was snow on the ground yesterday morning when I woke, but it doesn’t stop me from thinking about summer. I mean, it’s after 7:00, and it’s still daylight out! So it’s time to get excited about Spring and Summer, and what better way than to open a bottle of killer Pinot from Harper Voit!
2016 Harper Voit Antiquum Vineyard Pinot Noir
In the glass, a gorgeous deep dark red is waiting for exploration. With one quick sniffy sniff, the intoxication goes up a few levels expressing what was seen in the glass. Those profound expressions of dark red fruits present themselves extraordinarily well on the nose! On entry, those dark fruits slowly invade your mid-palate, where your senses slowly awaken and come fully to attention to those succulent dark red fruits can fully be appreciated. On the finish, there is a welcomed slight tannin where those fruits linger for the longest of times. This wine is seven years old and has so much more time to create unforgettable memories. Get your hands on a bottle of this if you can!
