Tasting Notes
I don’t know about you, but it still feels like the long weekend to me! So what does one do to continue celebrating while feeling the breeze of the weekend almost upon us? Well, the easy choice is to open Bubbles!!!
There are so many options available when it comes to Oregon Bubbles. So how does one even begin to figure out what to open? Let me tell you, it is beyond a difficult decision with all of the fantastic options available. In looking at my possibilities, I decided to open a bottle of Lytle Barnett mainly because it’s been way too long since I popped the cork on a bottle.
The 2015 Willamette Valley Brut from Lytle Barnett comprises 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay. Before I go much further, can I say how fun it is to explore Sparkling wine? Taking the first sip of this, I noticed there is more Pinot Noir than Chardonnay with a bit of a pleasant twang, but with the Chardonnay, it balances out the mid-palate with a refreshing smoothness. The complexity of Sparkling wine intrigues me on so many levels! I am ready to dive into more of this beautiful world of Bubbles!
