Tasting Notes

I know I am starting to sound like a broken record, but seeing Lytle-Barnett’s 2015 Willamette Valley Brut being full of life and bubbles on Day 6 is something I have to share with you. I was surprised taking the Sparkling stopper off to pour wine into my glass to see a gorgeous constant stream of tiny bubbles raise the bottom of the glass to the top. Those bubbles were still there even 30 minutes after being in the glass! The wine still has a ton of life with an excellent mouthfeel, showing great acidity, where the 30% Chardonnay brings a calmness to the 70% Pinot Noir counterpart. Who would have thought a Sparkling on Day 6 would be showing off this strongly? On a side note, I was looking at some of the Sparkling I have in the cellar and noticed my oldest Oregon Sparkling is a 2012 with multiple 2013s, 2014s, 2015s, and so much more after that. I can’t wait to see what all of these will look like in another ten years! 👇 👇 👇 👇 🥂 🥂 🥂 🥂 🥂 🥂 🥂 🥂 🥂 🥂 🥂 Massive shoutout to Lytle-Barnett for sponsoring the podcast this week!
