Tasting Notes

It's a Thursday night wine kind of night, but it's not your typical Thursday night. It's the start of the college football season for the Tennessee Volunteers. Thinking back to middle school, I will never forget the first weeks of school coming from North Carolina. I wasn't prepared for the mammoth rivalry of TN vs. AL. Being a 7th grader, I went against the grain to pick AL over TN. Years later, when I was in the Air Force, my heart returned to the Vols, and the last ten years have been heart-wrenching. Maybe this year will be different. We shall see….. Enough about football. Let's talk wine! Dusky Goose holds a special in my heart early on in my journey, and I can't wait to see the wines @hvandale create after taking over for @lynnpa. The Fennwood Vineyard, oh my goodness, is one of my top five vineyards in Oregon. I have another Pinot open that's on day two, and comparing the nose between the two is night and day. There is so much fruit on the nose with the 2014 Fennwood Pinot Noir with a slow entry leaving your mid-palate salivating for those medium red fruits taking the tension from your shoulders melt away into oblivion. The finish creates a neverending tension of soft tannin and silky finesse. 👇 👇 👇 👇 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 Would you like to get a Saturday morning email to read with your coffee giving you insider tips on events, news, and an in-depth perspective on a winery?
