Tasting Notes
When was the last time you got a 2012 Pinot in your shipment? I would venture to say it has been awhile. I finally picked up my fall shipment from @holloranvineyardwines , and there were two 2012 gemstones in need of a home. Sometimes my excitement of bringing home new wines overwhelms any and all logic. I had to properly welcome one bottle to the household, pouring its content into a proper tasting vessel. Observing its color, I am happy to see a nice deep dark shade of red. Color-wise, this wine still has many years ahead of it. On the nose, it is a classic gorgeous 2012 Oregon Pinot. Mid-palate feels so amazing, like a million little super teeny tiny kids jumping up and down for joy. There is a solid medium body supporting a great acidity structure, another sign of age-ability. Last but not least, the finish is a never-ending tunnel allowing the super teeny tiny, overly joyful kids to continue the party.
