Tasting Notes
So, I know last Saturday was ‘Open that Bottle Night’, but I meant to open this bottle last week. Guess what? I’m a week behind schedule, but hey, better late than never! Here’s the 2009 Sitar Pinot Noir from @alexanaestate. Back in 2020, I bought a vertical of Sitar from @jazmina.chernin , and I haven’t touched it a single drop. I’ve been dying to see how it’s aged, and let me tell you, it’s absolutely delicious! There’s still so much fruit on the nose and mid-palate. When you at it in the glass you can tell there is age, but it doesn’t look 15 years old.
By the way, if you listened to the podcast, you know that Tony Rynders made this wine. His winemaking skills are truly impressive. If you haven’t checked out @tendrilwines in Carlton yet, you absolutely must! It’s also been a while since I’ve been to Alexana, and I need to get that on the books soon!
