Tasting Notes
Finding vineyards that are own rooted in Oregon is becoming increasingly challenging these days. The Bednarik Vineyard stands out as a truly exceptional location. In 1988, William Bednarik planted Pommard and Wadenswil Pinot Noir clones, resulting in a truly unique parcel of land. While there are three wineries that source grapes from this special vineyard, it is Hundred Suns that captures my heart with their meticulous care, precision, craftsmanship, and captivating stories.
The 2021 Hundred Suns Bednarik Vineyard Pinot Noir displays a beautiful color in the glass and offers an intense, delicious aroma of bright red cherries! As you savor each sip, you are greeted with a seamlessly integrated mid-palate that is both soothing and decadent. But it doesn’t end there! The finish leaves a lingering impression of mouthwatering clove, providing a tantalizing glimpse into the potential this wine holds even after 15+ years.
